2020 was a challenging year for everyone. Despite this, LAD managed to run classes in a COVID-safe way. During the lockdown, when in-person classes were not available, we ran a student choreography competition on Instagram. The finalists performed their own routines at our end-of-year student demonstration. This was held on Sunday 6th December at Concord High School. Friends and family were able to watch students perform on stage along with the awards ceremony to finish off the year.

This day gave our students good stage experience, a chance to perform for family and to wear their latest costumes, and to top it all off, to win awards. Best of all was the fun aspect – everyone including the teachers, enjoyed the day. Our 2017 End of Year Performance was a success with many pleased parents commenting on how much the children have improved. Following this all our students were presented with awards for their efforts during the year. Our exam students completed another year of dance examinations with 100% pass rate. What a great way to end the year! This year, 2018, we will be entering a classical ballet bursary competition at Bankstown Sports Club, where students can enter as a group and perform as a group on the stage but be judged individually and compete for...
