Hello everyone, and welcome to 2023! As we reflect on the past year, we have to say that 2022 was a pretty amazing year for Lorraine Academy of Dance.
In March, we were finally able to hold our student demonstration at Panania, and it was a success! It was a great opportunity for parents to watch their little dancers shine after so many performances were cancelled due to COVID restrictions the previous year.
May and June were also big months for our students, as some of them participated in their classical ballet and lyrical ballet exams. It was inspiring to see how hard they worked and how much they accomplished in such a short period of time.
In June, our Pre-Elementary Ballet students also took a major step in their dance journey by purchasing their first pair of pointe shoes. It was a truly special moment for them and for their teacher.
August was a highlight for all of our students, as we participated in a fun, low-key dance competition. It was a great opportunity for our dancers to showcase their skills and gain some stage experience, all while having a blast in the process.
Of course, November was a major moment for us, as we held our annual end-of-year performance. It’s always a highlight for us to see our students’ hard work and dedication to dance throughout the year come to fruition on stage.
And to top it all off, we finished the year with our student awards ceremony and a party complete with delicious food. It was a great way to celebrate all of our dancers’ achievements and wrap up a fantastic year.
Overall, 2022 was a year filled with many memorable moments and a lot of hard work. We are looking forward to another fun year at Lorraine Academy of Dance!
